Anne Vegter (Netherlands)
Anne Vegter (Delfzijl, 1958) writes poetry, prose, plays and books for children. After studying art history and pedagogy at the University of Utrecht she first published two very successful books for children, the second of which received the prestigious AKO Literature Prize, normally reserved for adult fiction. Her first poetry collection Het Veerde followed in 1991, followed in turn by Aandelen en obligaties, Spamfighter and Eiland berg gletsjer. The last two were both nominated for the VSB Poetry Prize, and Eiland berg gletsjer received the Awater Prize in 2012. Vegter works and lives in Rotterdam.
